Jeff Crane

Coach Crane is a Montgomery, AL native and a 1988 graduate of Jefferson Davis High School where he helped lead the Volunteers to the 1987 6A state championship, earning All-Metro honors in 1987-88.  After playing one season at Cleveland State Community College, he went on to the University of Alabama where he was part of a regional team in 1991 and earned All-SEC Academic Team honors in 1993.  Crane began his coaching career as a graduate assistant coach at Alabama in 1994, then went on to coach at the University of Alabama-Huntsville from 1995-2000.  He then spent 6 years as an area scout for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim before returning to coaching at Troy University from 2006-2010.  Crane has coached over 25 players who have signed professional contracts, and signed 14 players as a major league scout.  Crane and his wife Shannon reside in Pike Road, and have one son, Jack, and a daughter, Ava.
