Coach Sherwood is a Pensacola, FL native who played collegiately at Troy University.  After her playing career, she embarked on a successful coaching career as a pitching coach that started at her alma mater in Troy.  Sherwood had coaching stints at Wisconsin, Florida State, Virginia Tech, and College of Charleston as a pitching coach and recruiting coordinator, while also enjoying two successful stints as the Head Softball Coach of the Akron Racers professional softball team and Portland State University.  Widely regarded as one of the premier pitching coaches nationally, Sherwood now resides in Pike Road and gives instructional softball lessons in pitching and hitting.
